ABOUT THE PRINCIPAL

KWAKU BOATENG ANKOMAH BA HONS ACTING
Kwaku Boateng Ankomah graduated in 2003 from the world renowned Drama School RADA, (The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) in London, England. His professional acting career has seen him in acclaimed and award winning theatre productions taking him on world tours, to West End productions. He has worked in TV and Film in the UK. He relocated to his country of birth, Ghana to be part of the immense positive change going on in Africa. He continues to act in Ghana, and can be seen in films and TV series currently showing on Ghanaian TV and DSTV. Kwaku has been an Acting Teacher for 2 years in the UK, working with Identity Drama School in London. He has also directed a varied amount of Youth Theatre and plays in London, working with the Islington Community Theatre and directing short plays at the Africa Centre in London. He has worked with children of varied ages, from toddlers to young adults, working on theatre projects in schools in London. He loves working with children and the youth and believes that any worthy cause to help a young person realise their potential and actualise their dreams is worth doing. He has been working with the youth in Ghana on Theatre and TV projects for the last five years. He also loves to work with the community and engage with the local community through art based and creative work. He runs a programme called Africa Speaks, which is a community based project helping the lives of predominantly vulnerable and at risk children and youths in Ghana through using the arts to change their life and supporting them in-kind and through donations from sponsors. The Academy has a Talent Management attached to it for our potential students who will be interested in acting in Theatre, Film, TV, Radio and more. Kwaku is extremely excited to be part of the Academy and believes the training offered will bring out a much more rounded and richer child who will be able to face and deal with the challenges in today's world.
