One of the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy's  students keeps making us immensely proud and he is now starring in a new German film called 'Borga'

Emmanuel Affedzi, who is a Youth Theatre student in our 13-18 year-old age group in Accra, has recently finished filming on a feature Film called Borga. Borga is produced by a German film production company, who came to film in Ghana. Emmanuel plays a supporting role of the lead character as a young child. He had a great time filming, was highly professional and he is looking forward to the premiere of the film.

Emmanuel's last film performance was in 'Beasts of No Nation', playing the lovable Character of Dike, Agu's childhood friend. He had some great scenes in the film and performed splendidly. He then went on to play a supporting role in a TV series called Solutions, which will be broadcast soon. Straight after filming 'Borga', he moved on to a new film project called Divine 419, a project by a German film Director. He recently wrapped on that set and is currently rehearsing for a theatre project. His versatility as an actor is to be admired.

The academy strongly believes in investing in talent. We thus decided to sponsor 4 actors from 'Beasts of No Nation', to attend the Academy on a Scholarship, Emmanuel being one of the Actors. We are proud to witness his progress in leaps and bounds since joining the academy.

Watch for this young man who will be appearing in cinemas and television!

The boys have not looked back since. They have developed into fine young men that express themselves with ease. Going for their drama class is always something the boys look forward to. At school the boys have become t..."
