Aardvark Casting is one of Africa's largest casting agencies for babies, children and adults. Most of the students in the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy join Aardvark Casting.

Adila was born in Cape Town. She started working with children 12 years ago in Nigeria where she discovered her passion. Since then she has never looked back and have been completely dedicated and inspired to make a difference in children's lives. She has a Montessori and psychology background. Working in Nigeria with Helen O' Grady Drama Academy has brought a new awakening with witnessing how effective and powerful " educating through drama " is. It has inspired her to share the knowledge with the children in Mauritius in pursuing her dreams in making a difference in children's lives and her passion for performing arts.

She is completely enthusiastic and optimistic to encourage the importance of developing self confidence, creativity, communication skills and self esteem in young people.

I am Joalan-Steven Chedumbrun, a joyful soul evolving in the creative world of Arts and Spirituality. I energize and inspire my Self in the Nature through regular Meditations, Rock Balancing Art, Yoga and Hikes. I‘m also positively influenced of music of all kind. For the past 17 years I’ve been working as a Professional in fields such as Project/Event Management, Customer & Partner Relations, Brand Marketing, Telecommunication, IT Product Distribution, Retail Business Development and Local Festivals. Since few years, I was able to get back to my passion, which is drama. I integrated an opera choir (which form part of Opera Mauritius) since 2013 to 2019 and was able to participate in plays such as Sister Act, Orpheus in the Underworld, Joseph and the Rainbow Coat and The Merry Widow. Then had the opportunity to play in some movies and in a play called Mona Lisa, written by a Mauritian author. Presently I’m happily going with the flow of life, living my passion by working at a Radio station as presenter/radio jockey, as a teacher at Helen O Grady Drama Academy and as actor in occasional short movies. Finally, my life is a stage where I’m the actor and I’m so happy to be able to share my passion. I love drama and since a couple of years now I am making my passion become my living. I’ve always considered drama as being a great tool for self development and I do believe that it helps to discover our true self. I am very excited to be part of Helen O’grady Drama Academy since I’ll be able to share my passion and help others to be a better version of themselves.'

I am Kelly from the strikingly beautiful island of Mauritius. I reflect varied personalities including ambition and generosity with a touch of humour, a well determined and vigorous individual, yet pleasantly calm. During my childhood, I have always played the role of a teacher with my friends and since then I have always dreamt of becoming a teacher and making a difference in others' lives. I think that children can achieve so much more if they learn early of their potential and I strongly believe that Helen O'Grady Academy is just the right place. The best part of it is it makes learning so much fun! Having applied for the training program, I feel extremely privileged to be part of such an amazing, exciting and creative team. It is one of the best decisions i have made in my life. My ultimate goal is to motivate students to do their best, help them achieve their full potential and be their cheerleader. Nicknamed as “Drama Queen” since I was a little girl I always knew drama was one of my talents. I also have a passion for teaching. Thus I made an aim to follow that path. I completed my A levels in Tanzania. After my marriage I shifted to Mauritius and have two amazing boys. Just recently I looked into the Helen O’ Grady training program and I found it perfect opportunity to explore my talent and passion. My personality is filled with lots of energy, exciting, loving and most of all I believe in having fun while learning.
