Drama classes to start in Windhoek

13 February

Helen O’Grady Drama Academy is pleased to announce that the Windhoek Academy will be opening under the direction of Simonne Oosthuizen.  This is fantastic news for the children and adults of this region.

The Academy already runs a vibrant drama school in the North of Namibia in Oshakati. Abraham Nambinga has been our principal for 10 years and has seen great growth in his school in this small population but the benefits to all have been incredible.

Therefore it is so wonderful to take this amazing international drama programme to the children of Windhoek and its surrounding areas and Simonne Oosthuizen is definitely the right person to do this and bring out the vibrancy of the organisation in this area.

As a young child; Simonne showed her flare for drama and her excitement of communication through her involvement with the Drama and Debating Clubs on a school level!  Her love for people and her fascination with PR and Communications; led her through a successful career as an Account Executive in the Advertising Industry (Rednail, TBWA and HuntLascaris Namibia)!

With a passion for the English language and a strong nurturing nature; Simonne believes that Helen O'Grady Windhoek will  positively instill a strong sense of self-esteem and respectful confidence amongst the youth and general community of Namibia.  Her wish is to make a difference through Drama!
